Outlook Calender

You can connect your Outlook Calendar to view events directly in Griply, allowing you to plan your day without switching between apps.

Once connected, Outlook Calendar events will appear:

  • In the Calendar view (day, week, month)

  • In the Daily Planner alongside your Griply tasks and habits

Events have a distinct colour so you can instantly tell them apart from Griply items.

Why connect Outlook Calendar to Griply?

By showing your Outlook Calendar events in Griply, you can plan around existing commitments, avoid overbooking, and easily time-block tasks without missing meetings.

How to Connect Outlook Calendar

Desktop

  1. Open the Settings menu (click your name in the top left).

  2. Scroll to Calendar.

  3. Click Add Calendar.

  4. Select Add Outlook Calendar.

  5. Follow the on-screen permission steps.

    • On the native Windows or Mac app: reopen the app after granting permissions.

  6. Choose which calendars you want to show in Griply.

iOS

  1. Open the Settings menu.

  2. Tap Calendar.

  3. Tap Add Calendar → Outlook Calendar.

  4. Follow the sign-in and permission steps.

  5. Select which calendars you want to display in Griply.

Disconnecting Outlook Calendar

  • Go to Settings → Calendar.

  • Click the trashcan icon next to the connected calendar.

FAQ

It’s taking a while for my events to sync to Griply. What should I do?

Outlook Calendar events sync every 5 minutes. To refresh immediately, press CMD + R (Mac) or Ctrl + R (Windows) in the desktop app.

Can I edit Outlook Calendar events in Griply?

No, events are read-only in Griply. However, you can click an event to open it in Outlook, where you can make changes.

Can I connect multiple Outlook accounts to Griply?

Yes, you can connect more than one Microsoft account and choose which calendars to display.

Is it a two-way sync?

Not yet. Currently, Griply only displays Outlook Calendar events. Two-way sync (showing Griply tasks in Outlook) is on our roadmap.

Why is my new Outlook event not showing in Griply?

Make sure the event is created in your Outlook Calendar, not in Microsoft To Do. Only events are synced to Griply.

Some of my calendars are missing.

Check that your missing calendar is visible in your Outlook Calendar settings and that you have permission to view it. For shared calendars, ensure you have at least “Can edit” or equivalent access.

Privacy & Permissions

Griply only requests permission to read your Outlook Calendar events. We do not edit or delete anything in your Outlook account.

Tips

  • Use the Calendar view in Griply to visually time-block around events.

  • Check the Daily Planner each morning to balance your tasks with meetings.

  • If events overlap with Griply tasks, they’ll be stacked so you can spot potential conflicts at a glance.
