  • Managing your subscription now always opens in a new tab, so it won’t be blocked by Safari.

  • Large numbers in goal progress are easier to read thanks to thousands separators.

  • You can choose your preferred number format in settings, and it’s used everywhere goal progress is shown.

  • Pasting large numbers, including thousand separators, into the goal progress field are better recognized.

  • Goals without tasks are hidden when you apply filters in the goal detail view, keeping your view clean.

  • Clearing filters no longer resets your grouping or sorting.

  • After selecting a task detail (like a date, tag, or goal) with your mouse, your cursor jumps back to the input so you can keep typing right away.

Better Search, Task Duration Insight & Reliability Fix

We’ve improved the desktop experience with better search, visibility into today’s total task duration, and a reliability fix.

Improvements

Desktop updates

  • See the total duration of all tasks for today (this includes overdue tasks).

  • You can now search for goals, life areas, and tags.

  • Goals in search are color-coded and show progress.

  • Press CMD + ENTER / CTRL + ENTER to save an inline task. Useful when you’ve added a description and don’t want to click outside.

  • Fixed a bug where the desktop app didn’t reconnect after being in the background for a while.

  • Added an Archived section at the bottom of the Goal page, Life Area page, and All Tasks page to show archived habits.

  • Show the next occurrence for habits that are not due today.

  • Tag counts are now shown for favorited tags as well.

  • The tag filter now orders tags the same as in the main navigation.

  • The tag filter now shows tasks that contain all selected tags, instead of any one of them.

  • “Hide completed goals” on the Goal Detail page now also hides completed sub-subgoals.

Life Area Summary, Subgoal Roadmap, and Small Fixes

We’ve added clearer overviews to help you see progress at a glance. Life Areas now show a summary of your goals and tasks right away, and goals get a new roadmap that brings all subgoals together in one place, including completed and archived ones. We also shipped a few small improvements and fixes following the recent filter and grouping update.

  • You can now reorder goal groups in the task list when grouped by goal.

  • When a grouping is applied, we no longer show the group property under each task. For example, when grouped by goal, the goal name isn’t repeated under every task.

  • Reintroduced “Show habits” and “Show calendar events” options for Today’s task list.

  • Fixed an issue where shortcuts like “G + I” (Go to Inbox) were blocked by multi-select shortcuts.

  • Fixed an issue where the “Create goal” button didn’t work in the goal selection menu during task multi-select.

  • Fixed a crash when setting a start time in the active goal filter without specifying an end time.

  • Fixed an issue where a habit’s start time was ignored when the habit started within the current week.

iOS Release (Dec 30)

  • The search UI was broken, causing the search field to be pushed too far down.

  • Fixed a bug where some yearly habit schedules showed an incorrect occurrence count in habit statistics.

  • The goal roadmap deadline label is now shown in the correct month instead of at the bottom of the roadmap view.

  • Progress is now shown in habit checkboxes on the Today screen.

  • Reversed logic that prevented repeating tasks from being scheduled when the task was already completed within the week or month. Now, your schedule is always followed.

  • Fixed a bug where habits with weekly targets were planned a day too far in the future.

  • The “Add task” button in the goal detail view links tasks directly to the same goal, so they don’t end up in the inbox.

  • The “Add task” button in the life area detail view links tasks directly to the same life area, so they don’t end up in the inbox.

This release is all about speed, control, and clarity when working with tasks. We’ve expanded filtering, added powerful multi-select actions, and introduced faster ways to edit, schedule, and organize tasks using context menus and keyboard shortcuts. On top of that, the All Tasks view, tags, and goals overview have received major upgrades, making it easier to see what matters, act quickly, and keep everything structured as your planning grows.

Spanish & German Support and Stability Updates

Last month, we focused on strengthening Griply — smoothing out the foundation so everyday use feels more reliable. We spent time on fixes, tighter behavior, and behind-the-scenes improvements.   • 27.01.2025 is now recognized as a valid date format.

  • The start date of a new repeat schedule is now set to the first time the schedule will occur, instead of Today.

  • Some calendars were not visible in the calendar settings menu.

  • Dragging an overdue habit on the calendar could cause it to disappear in some cases.

  • Goal metric: When the start or target value is left empty, it’s now treated as 0.

  • Desktop: The Insights tab didn’t show all underlying subgoals, especially deeper-level ones.

Plan Your Habit in the Habit Dialog

This update lets you schedule habits directly from inside the habit dialog. In the new Upcoming tab, you can see your habit schedule at a glance without navigating to the calendar. This makes it easy to quickly reschedule, adjust specific time slots, or add an extra session — giving you more control over how habits fit into your week.
