Changelog
The Biggest iOS Update Yet

This is the biggest update we've ever shipped to iOS. A lot of what used to be desktop-only is now on your phone: see your goal Roadmap, save your own Smart Lists, track a goal's progress from your Lock Screen, customize the bottom navigation bar, filter tasks the same way you can on desktop, and time-block your day right on the calendar.
Features
Goal Roadmap on iOS: See your big-picture goal timeline on your phone with the Roadmap view, now on iOS. Premium feature.
Smart Lists on iOS: Save your own task filters as Smart Lists and create or edit them right from your phone.
Lock Screen widgets (iOS): Track a goal's progress and your task count for the day straight from your iOS Lock Screen. Two new widgets, separate from the existing Lock Screen Shortcuts buttons.
Customize the iOS bottom navigation: Tailor the bottom navigation bar by choosing which tabs appear, so the app matches how you work.
Favorites tab on iOS: Reach your favorite goals and life areas in one tap with a dedicated Favorites tab in the navigation bar.
Improvements
iOS Calendar multi-day views and time blocking: The iOS calendar used to show one day at a time. Now switch between 1 to 5 day views, pinch to zoom the hours, and press and drag to block out time.
Full task filters on iOS: Filter your tasks on iOS the same way you can on desktop, by priority, duration, goal impact, and every other option, on every task screen.
Search goals, life areas, and tags on iOS: Search used to cover tasks only. It now finds your goals, life areas, and tags too.
Goal filtering (iOS and Desktop): Narrow your goal list with a saved filter to focus on the goals that matter right now. The filter sticks and re-applies the next time you open the Goals screen.
Expand subgoals in the goal list on iOS: Unfold a goal right inside your iOS goal list to see its subgoals without leaving the screen.
Task mode for goals (iOS): Jump straight to a goal's tasks every time you open it by switching on Task mode. It's off by default and applies to every goal.
Multi-select task editing on iOS: Swipe left to multi-select tasks, then reorder or edit them in batches. This replaces the per-card quick-action menu on iOS; habit cards keep their press-and-hold menu.
Smoother task reordering on iOS: Dragging tasks to reorder now feels noticeably smoother and more responsive.
Monthly habit tracking grid (iOS): See a habit's whole month of progress at a glance with a monthly tracking grid on the habit card.
Life area card grid view (iOS): Turn your Life areas screen into a visual vision board with the new card grid view.
Group goals by deadline (iOS and Desktop): Group your Goals screen by deadline to see what's coming due in quarterly sections (Q2, Q3, Q4, Q1 '27, and so on), alongside the existing grouping by life area.
Delete predefined life areas (iOS and Desktop): Clear out the default life areas you don't use by deleting them, the same as the custom ones you create. On the free plan a deleted default can't be replaced.
Goal progress chart polish (iOS and Desktop): Read your goal progress at a glance, with a chart that turns green at 100% and a timeline that stays legible for multi-year goals.
Desktop: Goal Filters, Deadline Grouping, Stats History, and More

A round of desktop refinements landed alongside the big iOS update. Filter and group your goals in new ways, step back through past stats periods, move goals to a new parent inline, and read clearer due-date labels.
Improvements
Goal filtering (iOS and Desktop): Narrow your goal list with a saved filter to focus on the goals that matter right now. The filter sticks and re-applies the next time you open the Goals screen.
Group goals by deadline (iOS and Desktop): Group your Goals screen by deadline to see what's coming due in quarterly sections (Q2, Q3, Q4, Q1 '27, and so on), alongside the existing grouping by life area.
Change a goal's parent inline (Desktop): Move a goal under a different parent straight from its edit screen, without the separate Move-to step.
Goal progress chart polish (iOS and Desktop): Read your goal progress at a glance, with a chart that turns green at 100% and a timeline that stays legible for multi-year goals.
Step back through past stats periods (Desktop): Step back through past weeks, months, quarters, and years in your habit and Insights statistics using the period arrows.
Clearer due-date labels (Desktop): Tell when something is due at a glance with clearer countdown labels, where today shows as 0d and tomorrow as 1d.
Delete predefined life areas (iOS and Desktop): Clear out the default life areas you don't use by deleting them, the same as the custom ones you create. On the free plan a deleted default can't be replaced.
Empty Trash, Tag Filter Modes, and Various Fixes
Clear out deleted tasks and habits in one move, and get sharper control over how tag filters narrow your task list. On desktop you can now empty your whole Trash at once instead of removing items one by one, and filter your tasks by matching any selected tag, all of them, or only tasks with no tags at all. This release also lands a batch of fixes across desktop, iOS, and web, from natural language task entry to external calendar sync and push notification timing.
Features
Empty Trash (Desktop only): Permanently clear everything in your Trash at once instead of deleting items one by one. Coming to iOS soon.
Tag Filter Match Modes (Desktop only): Filter your tasks by matching any selected tag, all selected tags, or only tasks with no tags. Coming to iOS soon.
Fixes
Desktop: Fixed a bug where deleted habits still appeared in Insights.
Desktop: Fixed a bug where a task created on a selected calendar date was moved to the next day when the entered time had already passed today.
iOS + Desktop + Web: Fixed a bug where Google Calendar locations appeared as events in Griply's calendar.

Desktop: Fixed a bug where a value entered when completing a repeating task couldn't be saved, now that repeating tasks support values like habits.
Desktop: Fixed a bug where the previous task's title briefly appeared in a new task row.
iOS + Desktop + Web: Fixed an issue where push notifications could be delayed when a large number were sent at the same time.
iOS: Fixed a bug where the habit widget could complete a habit a day early in some timezones.
iOS + Desktop + Web: Fixed issues that could cause the external calendar connection to sync unreliably.
Fixes and Improvements
Improvements
Drag overdue tasks to reschedule (Desktop): Drop an overdue task onto Today, a time-of-day section, or a calendar slot to reschedule it to today in one move. The same drag works in Upcoming, where an overdue task can be dropped onto any future day group.
Fixes
Desktop: Fixed a bug where goal and life area time slots appeared in search results, when they should only show on the calendar and Today.
Desktop: Fixed a bug where the input field on the forgot password dialog was wider than the dialog itself.
Desktop: Fixed a bug where archived repeating tasks still appeared on Today.
iOS: Fixed a bug where tapping a habit on the widget on Tuesday also checked it off for Monday.
Desktop: Fixed a bug where dragging a repeating habit to a later time in the upcoming calendar could make the habit disappear for that day in certain timezones.
Desktop: Fixed a bug where the space, "a", and "d" keys didn't register in the task name input when using the Polish (Programmers) keyboard layout on Windows 11.
Goal Impact, Trash Page, and Bullet Paste

This release helps you see what really moves the needle on your goals, gives you a safety net for anything you delete, and turns a pasted list of bullets into ready-to-edit tasks in one step. You can now set an impact level per goal to show how much it contributes to your life area (or how much a subgoal contributes to its parent goal), recover deleted tasks and habits from a new Trash page, and create multiple tasks at once by pasting bullets into the inline task field.
Features
Goal Impact: Set an impact level per goal to show how much it contributes to your life area, or how much a subgoal contributes to its main goal. Use it to focus on the goals that really matter.
Unified Trash Page: Delete with confidence. The new Trash page is a dedicated space to browse and recover tasks or habits you've removed.
Better habit planning in Upcoming (Desktop only): You can now add extra repetitions for next week, or stop "repeat daily until completed" for specific weeks, right from the habit upcoming column.
Paste bullets to create multiple tasks: Paste a bulleted list into the inline task field and Griply opens a dialog with each bullet as a task. Edit them before creating, and assign goal, priority, dates, and more.
Improvements
Smarter Habit Scheduling: Habits with targets (like 2x per week) are no longer planned on the first day or two of the week. They now repeat daily until your target is met, so you can hit your goal on the days that work for you.
Simplified habit schedule menu: We merged the "repeat" and "target" options into a single menu, making it more intuitive to set up a habit schedule.
Goal Impact filter: Filter your tasks based on the new goal impact property to zoom in on high-impact work.
Individual habit entries in Completed: You now see every completed entry of a habit in the completed view, not just the last one.
New goal table (Desktop only): Edit progress, impact, start date, and deadline directly from the goal table, no need to open each goal.
Completed habit entries in the calendar: Completed habits now appear in the calendar on the day you actually completed them, not just on the day they were scheduled.
Dedicated goal metrics dialog (Desktop only): Goal metrics now have their own dialog so you can edit them separately from the rest of the goal.
Fixes
Desktop: Fixed calendar events from 21:00 to 09:00 being shown as all-day events across two days.
iOS: Fixed a goal progress bug where progress was not aligned with desktop.
iOS: Fixed not being able to set a start date when adding a new habit with "x times per month or year".
iOS: Fixed adding a description to a new habit not working.
iOS: Fixed drag and drop not working in Upcoming.
iOS: Fixed the date selection sheet being cut off when "show borders" was enabled in accessibility settings.
iOS: Fixed goal progress input being cleared when changing the date after entering progress.
iOS: Fixed duplicating sub tasks not always working.
iOS: Potential fix for the keyboard not responding correctly when entering a new goal progress update.
iOS: Fixed tasks from subgoals linked to a life area sometimes showing under "no life area".

Smart Lists: Saved Views, Quick Planning, and More

We’re excited to introduce Smart Lists, a powerful new way to organize, filter, and find exactly the tasks you need. By combining filters across life areas, goals, tags, and priorities, you can build saved dynamic views that update in real time. We’ve also added some great shortcuts to make your planning faster than ever and fixed a few bugs for a much smoother experience. Whether you’re crushing "This Week's Priorities," staying ahead of "Overdue Deadlines," or finding those "Quick Wins," Smart Lists help you move from searching to focused execution.
Read our help center article to see use cases and examples on how to get started.
Features
Saved Dynamic Views: Build your own custom views by combining any filters (Life Area, Goal, Priority, Duration, etc.) and save them for instant access.
Sidebar Integration: Access your Smart Lists directly from the sidebar under "All Tasks," complete with live task counts.
Plan your week using smart lists: This is a game-changer for your weekly review. Switch between Inbox, All Tasks, Smart Lists, and Tags instantly when planning your day or week using the list selector (shortcut S).
Improvements
Smarter Date Filters: When you filter for "Today," "This Week," "This Quarter," or "This Year," Griply now automatically includes overdue tasks. This ensures you never miss a task that fell behind, keeping your backlog visible and manageable.
New "Next 14 Days" Filter: Get better visibility into your immediate future with a dedicated two-week rolling window.
Fixes
Fixed a small issue where the background of a menu could scroll away with the content.
Fixed a bug where the "download iPhone app" banner was incorrectly shown on iPad mini.
Public Roadmap, Fixes and Improvements
Due to high demand, we’ve moved to a new feature request system to make it easier to suggest ideas, vote on what matters most, and follow our public roadmap. After updating, you’ll find a “Share feedback” button in the menu where you can request features or report bugs.
We’re starting fresh in this new board. While we still have your previous feedback saved, we’d love to see what’s most important to you right now. We’ve added the most popular requests so you can upvote your favorites. When reporting a bug, please include as much detail as possible, such as screenshots or screen recordings.
We’re excited to hear your ideas and continue building Griply together 💛
