The Similarities
Task Management
This is where Griply and Todoist overlap. Fast capture, clear lists, and a focused view of what needs to be done today.
Inbox: Track all incoming tasks
Today: Plan your day perfectly
Upcoming: Plan next week/month
All Tasks: Filter and organize all your tasks
The Differentiator
Strategic Planning
This is where Griply differentiates itself. You define what matters first, then organize your work around it.
Strategic Depth
Real life is complex. Griply lets you nest Life Area > Vision > Goal > Subgoal > Task, as deep as you need to go.

Success Metrics
Don't just check a box. Track a number. Set a target (e.g., "$150k Revenue") and watch your progress bar fill based on outcomes.

Goal Timeline
Stop planning for "tomorrow." Use our Gantt-style Roadmap to visualize your entire year and see how Q1 goals feed Q3 goals.

Corporation vs. Partnership
Todoist is shifting its focus heavily toward B2B and Enterprise teams. At Griply, we are doubling down on You. We are building the ultimate strategic planner for ambitious achievers.
“I suggested a change to the Goal view in the community, and it shipped in the next update.”
- Andy
Can Griply replace Todoist for daily task management?
Yes. For the vast majority of daily workflows, Griply is just as fast and fluid, with the added benefit of context.
Is Griply more complex?
Only if your life is complex. Griply adds structure above tasks, not friction inside them. You can start simple with just tasks, and layer on Goals and Life Areas only when you are ready.
Who should NOT switch to Griply?
If you want a lightweight checklist for groceries and simple chores with minimal structure, Todoist is a great fit. Griply is for people who care about where their effort is going.
Does Griply have Natural Language Input (NLP)?
Yes. You can type “Review marketing budget every Friday at 4pm” and Griply will instantly set the date, time, and recurrence. You don't lose the speed you are used to.
Can I use Griply if I don't have a 'Life Vision' yet?
Absolutely. You can start using Griply just like Todoist, as a fast, reliable daily task manager. The "Life Planning" features (Goals, Vision) are there waiting for you. You can turn them on one by one whenever you feel ready to go deeper.
Does it sync with my Calendar?
Yes. We connect with Google and Outlook Calendars. Currently, we pull your events into Griply so you can see your real schedule alongside your tasks. This prevents you from planning 8 hours of work on a day that already has 6 hours of meetings. Full 2-way sync is next on our roadmap.
Can I use Griply for work, or is it just for personal life?
Griply is designed for high-performers, so you definitely should use it for work projects and career goals. While we focus on your personal execution right now, Shared Goals and task assignments are next on our roadmap. We are building a way to collaborate without the clutter.
